What the purpose is about, this entire project, is not simply to raise class consciousness ...
... but to win socialism, and obviously to raise class consciousness is a critical part of that. But making sure that we have candidates that both understand that and are willing to put that forward at every which moment that they have, at every which opportunity they are given.
We HAVE to continue to elect more socialists. And we have to ensure that we are unapologetic about our socialism.
There are also other issues that we firmly believe in, whether it's BDS [Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions on Israel] or whether it's the end goal of seizing the means of production where we do not have the same level of support at this very moment. And what I want to say is that it's critical the way that we organize - the way we set up our work and our priorities - that we do not leave any one issue for the other.
That we do not meet a moment and look only at what people are ready for, but that we are doing both of these things in tandem to both meet people where they're at, and also to organize for what is correct and what is right. Over time, we can bring people to that issue.
What he's saying is that he wants to ease people in communism, starting with little things and moving toward the "end goal" of taking private-owned land and businesses.
Communists always say that destroying capitalism is inevitable once people wake up to class struggle (this is what Karl Marx taught).
But "bringing people to that issue" always comes with force. ALWAYS.
Communism killed over 100 million people in the last century. It has bankrupted once-prosperous nations and caused untold suffering and persecution. You'd think we would have learned.
But this fool named Zohran thinks New York City can become a utopia if he injects it with that poison.
And guess who is carrying water for him?
