These robbers made out well this Christmas!

That's an estimated $35 million, so it could be more. This happened over the weekend in the town of Gelsenkirchen while the Sparkasse savings bank was closed.

Robbers drilled into the wall inside a parking structure and made their way into the underground vault at Sparkasse. They broke into more than 3,000 safe deposit boxes, which are insured at €10,000 apiece. Investigators say the job was extremely professional, and that these guys must've spent much of the weekend executing the job.

The only lead police have is this 👇

Witnesses reported seeing several men carrying large bags in the stairwell of the parking garage during the night from Saturday to Sunday.

Footage from security cameras has also shown a black Audi RS 6 leaving the parking garage early Monday morning, with masked persons inside.

The license plate on the car was no help, as it had been stolen in Hanover.

Nobody knew anything about the robbery until emergency crews responded to a fire alarm early Monday morning and discovered the hole the criminals had drilled from the parking garage into the underground vault.

On Tuesday, hundreds of angry customers stood outside the bank demanding information. Many told police that their losses heavily outweighed that €10,000 insurance, so this estimated $30 million heist could turn out to be a much bigger job.

I'll leave this here:
