Nope, not satire!
From NBC News:
Climate campaigner Greta Thunberg and other 11 activists will set sail on Sunday afternoon for Gaza on a ship aimed at 'breaking Israel's siege' of the devastated territory, organizers said.
Wait, what does Gaza have to do with climate change?
Eh, never mind.
The sailing boat Madleen โ operated by activist group Freedom Flotilla Coalition โ will embark from the Sicilian port of Catania, in southern Italy.
It will try to reach the shores of the Gaza Strip in an effort to bring in some aid and raise 'international awareness' over the ongoing humanitarian crisis, the activists said at a press conference on Sunday, ahead of departure.
You can track the ship here to see Greta's progress across the Mediterranean. In essence, they are daring the Israelis to blow their boat out of the water (they seem to fantasize about this a lot).
Here's a view from onboard the ship:
On Instagram, Greta posted this to her page:
Still trying to figure out what a land struggle between Islamic jihadis and Israel has to do with climate change.
(Hint: It's Marxism)
Godspeed, Greta!
