U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared on Katie Miller's internet podcast pledging to hold people accountable for "hate speech."

For the side of the political aisle that has fought against censorship, hearing their own party's AG vow to go after "hate speech" is a major red flag.
She even doubled down:
The problem? Well, "hate speech" is a term that was invented to mean "speech that discriminates against people of a specific protected category." The Left has used the term as a cudgel in recent years to go after people who disagree with them. What Bondi is describing is not "hate speech," but incitement to violence - a very essential distinction.
To say this wasn't what Americans were hoping to hear in the wake of Charlie Kirk's death would be quite the understatement.
Perhaps the most damning argument against what Bondi seems to be proposing, let's turn to the words of the late, great Charlie Kirk:
Even Charlie Kirk, who was murdered last week because people didn't like the things he said, knew the importance of abstaining from categorizing "acceptable" speech from "unacceptable" speech.
Well said, Charlie. As always.
