But that hasn't stopped Heinz from teaming up with Smoothie King to create a cold, refreshing ketchup smoothie.
That's right!
For a limited time, Smoothie King will be offering ketchup smoothies on their menu.
In their press release, Heinz explains the origin of their unholy amalgamation this way:
While everyone knows the age-old question ‘is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable?' recently, thousands have started asking, ‘if tomatoes are a fruit, is ketchup a smoothie?'
Thousands?
So what's in the ketchup smoothie?
The HEINZ Tomato Ketchup Smoothie blends sweet Acai sorbet, crisp apple juice, juicy strawberries, and tart raspberries with the unmistakable taste of HEINZ Simply Ketchup, which is all-natural and made with red ripe tomatoes full of vitamins and antioxidants.
So, anyway if you're into torturing your taste buds, you can find the odd concoction at these locations.
