Suppose you write for a popular network show that's been on the air for years and you want to keep the show relevant. What do you do?
Well, if you're writing for Law & Order: SVU you apparently write a plot involving federal agents whose job it is to get murderers and rapists out of the country as the bad guys.
That's right: The law enforcement agency which is saving people from criminal aliens, many of them involved in human sex trafficking and child rape, is the bad guy according to the woke writers over at NBC.
Newsbusters has an entire breakdown of the plot.
An illegal alien named Jorge Ruiz is a building superintendent who witnessed a rape. ICE, however, wants to take him into custody because of a prior drug arrest. Ruiz has been in America illegally for 22 years, but says he's innocent (because of course!).
At once point, ICE agents arrive at the NYPD office to arrest Ruiz. The show's star detective, Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) attempts to stop them ... and is subsequently arrested:

Detective Velasco: Captain, ICE is on the way up.
Benson: What?
Ruiz: How do they know?
Benson: Come. There's a back stairway.
Carisi: No, wait. Don't try that.
Detective Bruno: Can they do this?
Detective Velasco: They don't have a warrant.
Carisi: Doesn't matter. They're Feds.
Captain Curry: So they take our witness, and we can't do anything about it?
Benson: Hold on a second. I need you to trust me. Can you do that? [Tense music] Velasco, arrest him.
Velasco: What?
Benson: Now. Arrest him now.
Detective Velasco: Mr. Ruíz, you're under arrest.
ICE Agent: Captain Vincent, you're interfering with a federal operation.
Carisi: Oh, no, she's not. Jorge Ruíz is a material witness, and he's in the custody of the NYPD.
Benson: Do you really want to help a rapist go free? He's ours, okay? Take him to holding.
Carisi: Once he provides his testimony--no, no. We'll release him.
ICE Agent: This you? You have been obstructing this operation from the beginning. That is a federal charge. Put your hands behind your back.
Captain Curry: Oh, no. Captain.
Benson: It's okay. Stand down, Curry. Stand down. - [Sighs] [Handcuffs clicking]
Later, this happens:
ICE officers later interrupt court proceedings just as Ruiz is about to testify against the rapist. The judge berates the agents, saying, 'No, not in my courtroom. Jimmy, tell them they can wait outside, but they are not welcome here.'
In the end, Benson is quickly released from jail and her boss acquires a 'snitch visa' for Ruiz so he can stay in the U.S. legally.
The "snitch visa," by the way, could refer to a U-visa, which is given to those who are witnesses or victims in a crime. Ironically, there has been a massive increase in fraud cases where foreigners stage crimes to try to game the system so they can stay in the United States.
Last year in Texas, a Good Samaritan tried to help a woman who was being attacked at a gas station. He shot the perp, only to later learn that the man was her boyfriend and had staged the attack so she could get a visa.
A rogue judge in Wisconsin also obstructed ICE by distracting agents while allowing a criminal illegal was escorted out a side door, which Benson similarly suggests in the SVU episode.
That judge, Hannah Dugan, has now been suspended by the Wisconsin Supreme Court and arrested by the FBI.
An ICE facility in Texas was just shot up by a sniper last week, and ICE facilities across the nation are under attack by leftwing rioters who are assaulting agents and attempting to stop them from arresting criminals.
Threats against ICE are at an all-time high.
Did the writers at NBC not know this, or was stoking more anger against ICE the point?
Here's Breitbart:
Unfortunately, nowhere in the episode is the real record of ICE truly relayed and the NBC audience is never told that ICE arrests thousands of dangerous career criminals and illegal aliens who have pilfered, raped, and murdered their ways across the United states.
The episode's calumny that ICE is in business to protect rapists is particularly egregious since ICE has arrested thousands of sex offenders and taken them off our American streets.
Seems like Law & Order is truly just propaganda now.
