Another day, another wild video out of Little Mogadishu in Minnesota.
Here's a Minneapolis police officer alongside Jacob Frey, repeating a statement in the Somali language that, reportedly, says that the police will protect Somalians from immigration enforcement.
Since you have no idea what he just said, I spent an inordinate amount of time figuring out what in the Tower of Babel he said.
The message was a repeat of statements made by the MPD chief and Mayor Jacob Frey, as well as official statements by the City, telling residents to call 911 if they see ICE agents arresting someone, suggesting that it could be an illegal kidnapping (no joke).
The officer is also ensuring Somalis that the MPD will not assist federal law enforcement, but will support the Somalis.

I guess this is fulfilling Frey's campaign promises to different Somali tribes he courted in order to beat Omar Fateh?
