TO THE MOOOOOOON!
No, literally this time. America, the only country that has ever been to the moon is going back NEXT YEAR! And that's not all.
We want to win the second space race to the moon, but we know China wants to get there before us. We're not gonna let it happen ...
We hope we can do, first part of the year, that is going to be a mission - four man crew - that's going to go out and around the moon. Artemis 3 is when we're going to land back on the moon, we're going to stay for a longer period of time. Anywhere from 8-12 days on the moon. The longest time in the past was 3 days. And again, we're going to start sending payloads to the moon to start building our basecamp. ...
And again we want to get in the early '30s to Mars.
And don't forget: Part of this will involve setting up a nuclear reactor on the moon.
In 2022, NASA launched the first Artemis mission to test the spacecraft and equipment, giving us a stunning flyby of the moon.
Exciting things are happening.
