Bruce Fenton showed up to a Durham, New Hampshire, town council meeting and delivered one of the best anti-tax speeches I've ever seen in my life.

The town seems addicted to raising taxes, and it was time someone spoke out.

Watch:

The man he refers to as "His Royal Highness" is Todd Selig.

Todd I. Selig has been the Administrator for the Town of Durham since 2001.

The town administrator is an unelected position that reports to the nine-member town council and commands an annual salary of $300,000. Selig has held the position for 17 years.

According to Fenton, Durham voted to raise taxes 3 weeks ago and have multiple other tax raises on the agenda:

That's on top of the rapidly increasing property valuations in the area.

[In 2025 alone], residential land has increased on average by 55%.

One can imagine how hard it is to keep living in a city intent on taxing its residents like Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham on a spending spree.

My favorite part of the whole speech though was the guy in the red shirt sitting behind Fenton who looked like this pretty much the entire time.
