Well, this is bizarre.
At a Kid Rock concert in Louisiana this weekend the opening act was none other than ... ex-Fox News host Tucker Carlson?
Here's the six-minute monologue Tucker gave before Kid Rock came out and Bawitdaba'd the roof off:
[Language Warning]
You may be asking what am I doing here. And you know, I don't really know, hahaha!
Man, that laugh. That smile ...
I woke up this morning and I went on the internet. Familiar? And I read all these stories and I thought to myself, "this is the most depressing thing that's happened to me in a long time. This country is f---ed up!" Thats what I thought ...
And then I got here and I walked through the crowd and I thought, "No! No, it's not!" The country they tell me about on the internet is f---ed up. The country that I experience when I walk through this crowd, or when I wake up in my town of 100 people in a rural area, is a beautiful country. Filled with beautiful people.
I don't know if it's a good "get amped up for Kid Rock" message, but it definitely encouraged the crowd.
Tucker then talked about walking toward the light rig (which is shaped like a cross) and running into a fan who screamed in his face "I love you."
I thought, "That's the America that I know! Little weird. Slightly crazy. Full of love. And beautiful."
Tucker, enough with the Putin stuff. Enough with the interviews. THIS is the Tucker that we love!
