For a couple of hundred dollars, anyone can buy a kevlar helmet, but I mean how do you know they'll actually stop bullets?

Most people would probably test them out at a range, fitted on a melon or something, but that's not how things are done in Texas.

Instead, Sean O'Donnell and Aaron Prout took turns shooting each other in the head with a rifle to see if a kevlar helmet worked.

The Verdict?

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Department,

Pct 4 deputies responded to a call for service at the 23700 blk of Pennington Hills Drive. Upon arrival, units found an adult male who sustained what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to a hospital, but subsequently died from his injuries.

The victim was identified as Aaron Prout (34) from the United Kingdom, who resided in Harris County.

Sean O'Donnell was arrested and booked on murder charges.

There's no word on what kind of rifle the dumb duo were using or how far away from each other they were, but just for reference, any rifle at any distance would have been a bad idea.
