FINALLY.
After decades of trying and failing to defund the radically left-wing propaganda outfits NPR and PBS, the Republican-led Senate has finally voted to strip them of their funding.
The cuts are part of a much larger $9 billion cut that includes wasteful foreign aid uncovered by DOGE.
The measure passed on a party-line vote of 51-48, with 2 RINO Republicans joining Democrats to save the funding.
David Bozell, president of the Media Research Center, had this take on it:
For nearly four decades, the Media Research Center has been the tip of the spear in exposing the bias โ now open activism โ of so-called 'public' broadcasting. PBS and NPR were chartered to provide objective journalism. Instead, we got drag shows for kids, gushing coverage of Democrats, and silence or smears for conservatives. The MRC made it our mission to hold them accountable โ or end their taxpayer gravy train.
It boggles the mind that our tax dollars were funding this organization. We were funding groomer crap like this:
Then there was NPR's CEO, who called for white people to pay reparations:
... and called the 1st Amendment a nuisance that makes it harder to censor "misinformation."
... and called "reverence for the truth" a "distraction" that prevents "consensus."
PBS CEO Paula Kerger warned: "These cuts will significantly impact all of our stations, but will be especially devastating to smaller stations and those serving large rural areas."
Yeah, we don't think rural people were eagerly tuning in to your garbage, Paula.
Time to celebrate another Trump win.
