During a routine home renovation, contractors in Ollala, Washington, were shocked to come across a small case containing a plethora of explosives.

The homeowners, who had just purchased the home, were equally surprised by the discovery and called 911 to report the explosives.

The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office responded, and after inspecting the case, Sheriff's Deputies called in the bomb squad and the explosive ordnance team from a nearby Naval base.

In the case, they unpacked 10 live grenades, blasting caps, and other explosive devices.

The bomb squad took possession of the explosives, while a team from Bangor Naval Base seized the grenades, which are suspected to be military issue.

The area was cleared, and the contractors were able to resume work on the property, but an investigation into the source of the explosives is ongoing.

I'm sure the construction workers will be extra careful during the remainder of the project, as this is definitely a case where "delicate demo" should apply.
