Imagine you're watching a Hallmark Christmas movie.

The small-town American girl who moved to the big city to climb the corporate ladder has been sent to London to acquire a cookie company that's been run by a local family for 400 years.

She butts heads immediately with the family's dashing (and surprisingly single) son, but he begins to give her a new appreciation for tradition and Christmas spirit that she thought she lost long ago when her parents died in that tragic accident on Christmas Eve.

The two find themselves wandering through Piccadilly Circus, looking at all the happy shoppers merrily buying gifts for loved ones. The air is full of magic and romance.

The woman trips. The somehow-single man with the chiseled jaw catches her. They look into each other's eyes, their lips moving inexplicably toward each other.

And then, in true Hallmark style, their first kiss is interrupted by THIS:

Same ol' Greta!

It kinda is 👇

Greta Thunberg was in London on Monday to support a group called the "Palestine Action," which is listed as a terror organization by the British government.

Because her protest was affiliated with this specific group, she was arrested (again).

The British government has this to say about Palestine Action:

The government assesses that Palestine Action commits and participates in acts of terrorism. In several attacks, Palestine Action has committed acts of serious damage to property with the aim of progressing its political cause and influencing the government. These include attacks at Thales in Glasgow in 2022, and in 2024 at Instro Precision in Kent and Elbit Systems UK in Bristol. The seriousness of these attacks includes the extent and nature of damage caused, including to targets affecting UK national security, and the impact on innocent members of the public.

Greta was supporting eight members of Palestine Action who are in British jails awaiting trial. The defendants have been on a hunger strike for more than 50 days until their demands are met:

Despite Greta's arrest, protests continued to shut down Piccadilly the night before Christmas Eve.

Meanwhile, Muslims like this British parliamentarian from Pakistan (what a time to be alive) are very upset that Greta was arrested.

At the rate Europe is going, Hallmark is going to have to switch from romance to apocalypse movies at Christmastime!
