I guess we'll go ahead and call this guy a Long Island man...

Yes, Long Island man is really Guatemalan man.

Wilmer Castillo Garcia allegedly sold some THC gummies on Instagram which were given to a class of middle schoolers in Suffolk, County New York.

12 kids were sent to the hospital after ingesting the compound found in marijuana, and the man responsible for it is now out on his own recognizance.

A Guatemalan national was released on his own recognizance Thursday after allegedly selling tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) gummies that caused the hospitalization of a dozen New York middle-schoolers in March ...

Castillo Garcia was also indicted on two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, and other related charges, after he allegedly sold cocaine and marijuana to an undercover officer on two separate occasions. He pleaded not guilty.

Sounds like the American dream, doesn't it?

Anyone from around the world can make it big in America by allegedly selling drugs to middle schoolers on Instagram and dealing drugs to undercover cops! It's exactly what the founders had in mind when they started this great country.

Defense attorney Matthew Tuohy, who is representing Castillo Garcia, told Fox News Digital they are working with the district attorney's office to come up with a resolution to the case.

'My client has had a very, very tough upbringing,' Tuohy said.

Tough upbringing? Maybe talk to those kids he sent to the hospital!

'He's basically been on his own. He has family here now that is helping him, and I'm trying to get him on the right path to resolve this the best way we can.'

I think I have a great idea for what the "right path" would be ...

Castillo Garcia is due back in court Sept. 2 and faces up to nine years in prison if convicted of the top count.

Let's hope he shows up!
