Here are a few clown-world stories you probably missed while celebrating the birth of our Savior

Christmas is a day to rest from the antics of clown world.

Unfortunately, clown world doesn't take any days off.

First up is this Democratic chairwoman in Rhode Island who tried to weasel out of a DUI with the "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" card:

Out in California, meanwhile, a massive winter storm covered the state, burying the mountains in snow and triggered mudslides.

Over on the national stage, a Biden-appointed DC judge, who holds dual Canadian-American citizenship, decided to block Trump again.

Ali was in the news in February when he tried to stop Trump's order that paused $2 billion in USAID funding. The Supreme Court was forced to slap him, ruling that he does not have such authority.

(He apparently didn't learn his lesson.)

Also on the national stage was a viral Christmas photo from the Bidens. You'll notice that Joe is half visible in the back while Jill blocks him (an apt metaphor for his presidency) 👇

Over in New York, an activist group decided to spend lots of money to show how ignorant they are of history and religion.

[Takes a deep breath]

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the city of the Jewish King David, to Jewish ancestors of David, as the prophesied Jewish Messiah who was foretold through hundreds of years of Jewish history. The area, including Jerusalem, belonged to the Jebusites (a Canaanite tribe) before David conquered it around 1000 B.C., though the Jews lay claim to it through their forefather Abraham, who lived in the land hundreds of years before the Canaanites (the Bible includes records of Abraham's land purchases in the area).

Some Palestinians, like former leader Yasser Arafat, have tried to claim that Palestinians are the descendants of the Jebusites and other Canaanites, despite an overwhelming lack of evidence.

The name "Palestine" itself came from the Romans, who conquered the area from the Greeks, who conquered the area from the Achaemenid Empire, who conquered the area from the Medes, who conquered the area from the Babylonians, who conquered the area from the Assyrians.

The Romans got tired of Jewish rebellions and finally destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D. before expelling all the Jews, renaming the province of Judea to "Syria Palaestina," which refers to the Philistines, a historic enemy of the Jewish people. The Romans purposely renamed the area after the Jews' enemies - Emperor Hadrian wanted to erase Jewish historical claims to the land entirely, for all time.

Well, the Roman Empire fell and the eastern Byzantine Empire spent itself fighting the Sasanian Empire of Persia, allowing the Arab Muslim hordes to take the Levant in the 600s under the Rashidun Caliphate. Despite Christian attempts to retake the area, multiple Arab empires ruled the area until the Ottoman Turks conquered it. By then, the population of the Levant had dwindled significantly.

The reason the area got labeled "Palestine" again is thanks to the Brits, who had an obsession with the Greco-Roman world. As the West finally put an end to hundreds of years of Ottoman conquest, the Brits decided to revert back to the old Roman name.

When Jews began a push to return to Jerusalem and the surrounding areas in the late 1800s, there were no major cities in "Palestine," just poor villages and nomadic Bedouin tribes. Jerusalem had maybe 15,000 people living in it. Notably, Bethlehem was a Christian village (86% of the population before 1950 was Christian).

Now you thoroughly understand why the Times Square ad from the "American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee" is beyond idiotic.

Now let's look at a wholesome story:

Just the best.

As for the Religion of Peaceâ„¢, it was busy, as usual, killing or attempting to kill people.

First was this church bombing in Nigeria:

[Warning: Blood stains are shown]

Trump decided to bomb the jihadis in Nigeria, however:

Turkey also arrested 115 mostly-peaceful Islamists.

Last but not least, North Korea unveiled its first nuclear-powered sub (anyone want to take bets on how fast it sinks?).

There's more crazy stories that happened, but some of them require articles of their own, so stay tuned for more.
